Fred - Adopted

Meet Fred - February 2020

Feisty Fred is 11 years young. He is a sweet, gentle, quiet, and funny Chihuahua boy who loves food, cuddles with his human and canine companions, as well as a good butt rub. In fact, his little bum never stops wiggling with happiness!

Fred was surrendered by an owner who loved him dearly, but was no longer able to care for him. While full of spurts of spunk, he spends the majority of his day napping—daydreaming about a new forever home to live out his golden years.

Fred is fully housetrained, but is cool with using a pee pad when in a pinch. And as a senior, he’s near toothless, but still has a few of his molars. And he certainly doesn’t let that stop him from enjoying dinner and treats with vigor. Due to a high grade heart murmur, it isn’t safe for Fred to be anesthetized for neutering. He needs a home that will commit to keeping him intact, and will ensure that he avoids contact with intact females. While Fred may want to carry on his legacy, we want to avoid any accidental litters.

In Fred’s forever home, he should either be with other small adult or senior small dogs, or on his own—no puppies or large dogs, as it makes him nervous.

Consider welcoming lovely Fred into your home.
