Meet Betty White

Found as a stray, this adorable diabetic golden girl is a true (pup) pal and confidant. Betty White lives up to her name and is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. Betty absolutely loves her leisure walks, and takes the time to smell the roses, grass and pee stains along the way. And she really enjoys the attention she gets from strangers on her walks. She is fully housetrained and will let you know when it's time for her to go out. While Betty is low energy and likes to chill in the daytime, watch out when it's food time. This spunky girl loves her food and there is no stopping her running to her food bowl when she hears that clang. Being blind has not stopped this smart pup, she picks up on her surroundings and routines quickly. She loves to hang with you on the couch and loves a good evening cuddle.

Betty’s diabetes is making her drink a lot and pee a lot, which means she would do well in a home with an outdoor space and someone who is home most of the time and can let her out frequently. This lady likes to get up early and enjoy her day. She would get along well with someone who also likes leisurely walks and takes the time to smell the roses. Betty has had a wonderful transformation since her arrival at our rescue with great nutritious food and healthy lifestyle, and needs her furever parents to continue her healthy diet and supplements, and her insulin shots (1 unit) twice a day, for her to continue to thrive and live her best life yet. Betty is a true friend who has lots of love to give.

Update - September 2021

Our hearts are heavy with grief and sadness. Sweet Betty spread her angelic wings and flew away.

We will never forget her feisty and bubbly personality and her zest for life, despite her old age and health issues, nothing ever stopped Betty from enjoying life. See you again, little angel.
