She made the long trip from Korea to Canada, arriving severely underweight (weighing at only 3.5 pounds!), sadly debarked, and dealing with alopecia due to a lifetime of severe neglect. Her mouth was full of badly rotten teeth and her stinky breath could clear a room! During her first vet visit here it was revealed that she also has a grade 3 heart murmur.

What She Got in Foster Care:

Alice has been in a wonderful foster home since her arrival where she is loved and cherished, and receiving much needed care. Despite her challenging past, Alice is now on a healthy diet, has achieved a healthy weight (a whopping 5lbs), and her fur is growing back beautifully. Alice had dental surgery not long ago. She now has a beautiful set of pearly whites with all the rotten ones gone for good.

It is imperative to keep in mind that we don’t know whether Alice has been spayed in her past life or not, although we suspect that she most likely hasn’t been. Due to her heart condition it is not in Alice’s best interest to risk her life and put her through an exploratory spay surgery. Anesthesia can be very dangerous for this little angel. Her forever family is going to have to be extra vigilant about keeping her away from intact boys.
