Adopt a Piggie

Meet The Berries - January 2023

We sometimes get a call to help animals other than cats and dogs. This time it was about three little hairless guinea pigs that were abandoned after their owners had moved away. And of course we ran over and removed them from the filth they were living in.

Stay tuned for updates as they are scheduled to see out vet tomorrow. But in the mean time, please meet the berries: Strawberry (mom), Blackberry(dad), and Gojiberry (son).

Update - Vet visit

Well well well. Xrays revealed that mamma Strawberry is expecting 5 babies!!!!. And they will be here in the next 2-3 weeks. Xrays will be reviewed by another vet next week to determine if she needs a c-section based on her hip size but for now, the plan is lotsof pampering, calm stress-free environment, and lots of yummy and nutritious food for the Berries, especially for mom.

Blackberry seems to have a mild URI and he will be on antibiotics for the next little while.

Babies will be ready to go to their forever homes when they’re around 2 months old so if you always wanted to have skinny pigs of your own, you are in luck. We will have a few soon :)

Update - February 2023

Congratulations mama Strawberry! On the morning of Valentines day, this sweet mom gave birth to 6 beautiful baby skinnies. Sadly we lost 2 of the babies in the first 24 hours, but the remaining 4 are doing very well and thriving.

Update - March 2023

Baby skinnies had their first vet appointment at the age of 6 weeks. They all got a clean bill of health, and had a “gender reveal” celebration. We are happy to announce that we have 3 girls and one boy: Ellie, Libby. Gabby, and Clooney.

Update - April 2023

Our beautiful skinny pigs are now ready for their forever homes, including the babies. If you are interested in giving a loving forever home to a skinny or two, please contact us to discuss.
