Meet Bruno Paws - April 2017

Here are a few words form the foster mom:

Bruno Paws came to me late one night and was very scared and unsure of himself shivering in his crate. It took a few days for him to come around and learn to trust me but eventually he did and it was worth the wait. Bruno came from a past of neglect and uncertainty so I feel he was unsure how to act as a dog. I currently have a chihuahua and cat who he gets along with just fine. His trust in humans needs to be worked on but his little soul is kind and he has a lot of love and cuddles to give so I'm sure he's well on his way to trusting.

Over the course of getting to know Mr. Bruno Paws I learned he loves to give kisses on the mouth, is a huge fan of belly rubs and sitting on my lap. Bruno likes his walks but is still unsure of certain noises and people who pass by. He likes to say hello to other dogs of any size. He walks well with my current dog and likes to follow his way and tries to be like him which I find adorable.

I would suggest Bruno needs a home that isn't too loud and has stability, he needs an owner that has a little patience as he is just learning how to be a dog and do doggy things. If you can give him some patience he will come at you with open “paws”. Bruno does not like crates or cages, even the sight of them makes him nervous. I currently do not crate him when I am not home, but I use a gate to keep him in my kitchen which works just fine.

Bruno would do best in a home where he can have a doggy sibling who can show him the way and how to be a dog. He seems to be the happiest when there is another dog around. He is currently loving life with his foster brother and is learning so much from him.

Mr Bruno Paws prefers to do his business outside but will use a pad if necessary. Currently I give him three medium walks a day about 10 minutes and he hasn't had any mistakes recently, this is why I suggest a good routine. Bruno is a picky and slow eater and will sit any stay on command for a good treat.

I am super excited for Bruno to find his forever home as he is one handsome pup who deserves so much love and snuggles.
